TELEPHONE & SWITCH BOARD CABLES
Communication is the life line of today's living. Which
is based on telephone, i.e. land line & mobiles. For
internal & external telephone wiring requirements of
any building two types of telephone cables are installed.
1. PVC
Insulated and Sheathed Telephone Cables
2. Polyethene Insulated Jelly filled Telephone Cables
The cables, are manufactured using 99.9% EC grade tinned copper wire having better elongation & solderability & twist with standing capacity. Conductor is insulated with special grade PVC (Non-flammable) meant for telephone cables, to create proper adhesion between copper & PVC. Such cores twisted together, to form pairs, each pair having different colour identification, laid in such design to reduce the cross talk between pairs & creating imbalanced capacitance for better performance. Nylon rip cord provided & twisted pairs are then sheathed with superior grade steel grey colour.

The jellyfilled telephone cables, shortly known as PIJF
cables are polyethylene insulated jelly filled cables.
Generally recommended for underground use, these telephone
cables have annealed bare copper, insulated by high density
polyethylene compound. All pairs having different colour
combination are twisted to form units. Units laid together
form cable and than suitably armored with formed armoring
by G.I. strips.
The cables are available up to 800 pairs in the following
groups.
Group – 1
0.50 mm conductor size unarmored & armored styles – pairs – 5
pairs, 10 pairs, 20 pairs, 50 pairs, 100 & 200 pairs.
0.63 mm conductor size unarmored & armored styles – 20
pairs, 50 pairs, 100 pairs, 200 pairs.
0.90 mm conductor size unarmored & armored styles – 20
pairs, 50 pairs, 100 pairs.
